Non-adjustable pressure limiter for symmetrical braking systems:
Its function is anti-lock braking: it limits the pressure in the braking system before the wheels lock up.
Particularly useful during landing, it prevents conventional-landing-gear aircraft from nose-diving when the pilot applies the brakes fully.
It thus reduces stopping distances. The limiter is included in almost all BERINGER complete kits with single-control braking for symmetrical braking systems (stick-mounted master cylinder or single console-mounted master cylinder) or on single-wheel aircraft (gliders).
The reference pressure value is set for each model.
There are therefore several models available depending on the aircraft’s weight, the wheel diameter and the braking system’s torque.
They are available for DOT 4 fluid or for MINERAL (MIL) fluid.
WARNING: the seals are different; never mix brake fluids.
